Tulip Applique Quilt 1855

A stunning, near mint, inscribed, antique quilt in a Tulip and leaf pattern. It is impeccably stitched, from the perfect, precise applique work to the highly skilled quilting. It is inscribed by tiny, perfect, red stitched with the quilters name and the year 1855. There is some general yellowing, over all toning to the white ground from age and some freckling, but there are no other signs of wear of any kind. It was never used and has been kept carefully stored.

This is an exquisite collector's quilt and hails from New Jersey.
