Small Section of Paper-pieced Silk Hexagon Flower Quilt with Antique Letters

A lovely, little artifact... hand stitched, paper-pieced, Hexagon Flower Quilt section comprised of different silks. Much of the paper used to stabilize the fabric is scraps of handwritten letters or notes. The paper is still intact on the back. The stitches used to hold the fabric to the paper are still in. Ca 1890 

A wonderful little collection piece or display piece.
