Antique Blue & White Triple Irish Chain Quilt c1900

Indigo blue patches with white polka dots are pieced by hand next to pure white to form a gorgeous, triple Irish Chain. The hand quilting is expertly executed in various diagonal motifs throughout the quilt, with special attention paid to the large squared white ground areas between the chain cross sections. The quilt is framed first in blue and then white for a wide border and trimmed in a blue binding along all edges.The border is attached by machine stitching.

Condition: Excellent, near mint, some mild yellowing to some areas of the front.
