Antique Spinning Star Quilt c1890

Bright and bold! Hand pieced and hand quilted with little hearts all through the red sashing. This is a stunning quilt with a wonderful mix of 19th century fabrics in excellent condition. From deep indigo and bright chrome orange to soft, earthy florals and pale shirtings, the effect is joyful. The backing is a grey & red stripe with a strip of mourning cloth pieced in to complete.

Condition: Excellent. One block (blue) has some light fade. Overall sound and bright, no real signs of use.
