Antique Evening Star Quilt

This is a multigenerational quilt with 19th century blocks that seem to have been set and quilted at a later date, likely early to mid 20th century based on the quilting thread and technique. It is hand pieced and hand set with a border joined by machine stitching. The quilting is done with a blue cotton thread and the white cotton binding is hand applied.

Condition: Excellent. Clean, a few small dots remain. One triangle on the point of a star in the upper right corner block is thinned out. An excellent piece.

Weight: Medium weight.
