Vintage Dresden Plate Diamond Pieced Applique Quilt, ca 1950

Machine appliqued and hand quilted, a bright and lovely vintage quilt in a classic Dresden Plate pattern with the unusual addition of an oblong diamond pattern between the blocks. The plates, or flowers-as they're sometimes referred to, are comprised of feed sack cloth and other early 20th century fabric scraps. There are some scattered marks on the front and the back,  and 1 small tear on the edge. Ca 1950
