Vintage Feed Sack Dresden Plate Quilt ca 1930

A beautiful, never used, hand stitched vintage quilt done in a “Dresden Plate” applique pattern. Both the ground and plates utilize feed sack cloth and the binding is done in a pretty, pink feed sack/dress print as well. It is beautifully quilted and shows no sings of use. The discoloration is a toning to the feed sack cotton from storage, most intense on the right border panel and center fold line. There are also varying degrees of toning depending on the purity of the “white” cotton of the feed sacks used in different areas. This has not been soaked, a decision based on the fact that is has never been wetted and maintains the original press of the quilter's work. Backing is clean with aforementioned mix of feed sacks.
