Vintage Feed Sack Red & White Star, ca 1920

*Quilt within a quilt!*

Freshly hand washed, this is a feedsack quilt that houses another antique 9 patch Quilt inside. Often people would use an older quilt to line a new one. The outer layer is comprised of white feed sack cloth and small, pieced Star blocks. There is some fabric loss within some of the stars. The rest of the piece is solid. Some very light aged patina remains after soaking.
