Vintage Peony Quilt

Vintage Peony Quilt . A one-of-a-kind, absolutely stunning, mint condition, handmade quilt comprised of several panels of large scale peony print fabric like chintz. It is not cotton, but has a satin finish, soft and smooth. An American quilt with major European feels. This was likely curtain remnants or something of the sort that the quilter matched and pieced, as each flower is seamed at the center and the flowers end up climbing from left to right across the quilt.  The backing is burnt orange with some piecing like pleats along one edge. This is hand quilted in large scale utility arc.
